Carlisle release Zigor

Ex-Walsall left back Zigor Aranalde has been released from Carlisle United. Now 35, the Spaniard enjoyed hero status up north but manager John Ward indicated age had caught up with him.

He made 126 appearances for the cumbrians but managed to get one more goal than he got in Walsall colours. One of which was a 25 yard screamer at Whaddon Road, Cheltenham, a goal the fans who made the long journey will not easily forget.
