Grimsby Town have released Martin Butler from the remaining six months of his contract. Butler, 34, had become concerned over his 350-mile round trip from his home, which contractually had to be make a minimum of twice a week.
New Grimsby Manager Mike Newell said it was an easy to make to release Butler.
