Ex-Saddler Andy Bishop has signed a contract extension to keep him at Gigg Lane until 2012.
The much coveted goalscorer turned down a new contract at the club earlier this month and had been linked with a move away but has now agreed to stay on at Gigg Lane until the end of the 2011/12 season.
