Freddy Eastwood will complete his move to Wolves on Friday, after Southend United agreed to sell their prize asset on Thursday evening.
The hitman scored 65 goals for the club and after his arrival from Grays he became hero after scoring 7.7 seconds into his debut.
The fee is being described as undisclosed but is believed to include extra payments depending on success and a 25% selling on clause.
Losing the striker will leave a big void to fill but the club are saying despite this sale they will still compete next season. Although surely a goalscorer is now on their shopping list.
