Wise has pounced for Ince at a time when the player hasn't returned for pre-season training since being over-looked for the manager's position.
Ince was a fan's favourite at Wolves and his arrival coincided with the promotion to the Premiership. It was believed he would stay on for a final season but the player intends to launch a career in management and the lure of coaching duties at Swindon Town was too much to turn down.
Ince joins a coaching team also containing midfielder Gus Poyet.
