Wise in talks with League Two Club

Last updated : 17 May 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
Sky Sports News are reporting that Dennis Wise is in negotiations to become Swindon Town's new manager.

Until recently Swindon were insisting that ex-Walsall assistant manager Iffy Onuora would remain as manager. A huge change of opinion has led to the club hoping to announce Wise as their new boss by the end of the week. Swindon's official statement says "Iffy was placed in charge until the end of the season but that was always going to be reviewed over the summer."

After leaving Millwall at the end of last season Wise joined Southampton as a player. After being overlooked for the vacant St.Mary's Manager position Wise joined Coventry City, where he enjoyed a great period of form where he scored 6 goals in 11 starts.
