Walsall to send Pools captain for a haircut?

Last updated : 09 February 2007 By Andy Van Hagen
If Walsall beat Hartlepool on Saturday we will be giving Hartlepool's captain a ticket to the barbers!

Micky Barron has revealed that his hair will keep growing until Hartlepool's unbeaten run comes to an end. He won't get it cut until Hartlepool lose.

The club captain made his promise before Christmas and despite regretting his words he is going to complete this promise.

“I had stupidly told the lads before Christmas that I wouldn't get my haircut until Hartlepool United got beaten. Hopefully it will grow a bit longer although it is getting out of control. I don't want us to get beat but I really want to get my haircut.”

Hartlepool's run now stretches 14 games but on Saturday they welcome us, the league leaders.

Perhaps his long hair will lead him to lose the flight of the ball, allowing us to score a goal and give him the opportunity to get the shaggy hair cut!?
