Bill Power, a former director at Queens Park Rangers, has invested £1 million pounds into Swindon Town with the promise of more to follow.

Power has been quoted as saying "I'm not Roman Abramovich, I've not got billions sat away, but it won't end there," he told BBC Radio Swindon.

It seems that the money will not be spent of transfers initially. The club are currently deciding whether to upgrade the County Ground or move to a new facility at a new site.

Some of the money will be spent in ensuring their better players do not leave if they are relegated to League Two.
