Oldham are strikerless!

Oldham Athletic have been left strikerless after the only forward on their books retired at just 20 years of age.

Chris Hall who has a broken leg, retired after being fined a maximum two weeks waged for failing to turn up for treatment. His whereabouts are unknown and the club are currently drawing up a termination of his contract. They will hold on to his registration should the forward decide to return to football after his injury has fully recovered.

Fellow Oldham strikers Chris Porter, Matt Wolfenden, Deane Smalley and Lewis Alessandra are all out of contract and are considering offers from the League One club amongst others. This has forced the club to look elsewhere and Lee Hughes is likely to join after his release from prison. Another striker who is linked with a move to them is former Walsall striker Darren Byfield.
