Steve Thompson, Notts County new manager has started his re-building for the up-coming season. He signed four players as he looks to ensure Notts County do not struggle like they did at the tail end of last season.

The biggest name to arrive is Jason 'Pineapple head' Lee. The 35 year old striker has signed a two year contract and was signed from under the noses of Aldershot Town; who had already agreed terms with the striker. The lure of remaining in league football was too attractive for the ex-Forest striker to turn down.

Also arriving is Aldershot defender Matt Sommer. The 23 year old also agreed a two year deal. They are joined by another striker, 26 year old Lawrie Dudfield, and defender Alan White. Both join from Boston United on one year deals.
