Macclesfield suffer ANOTHER broken leg blow!

Last updated : 28 November 2006 By Andy Van Hagen

Macclesfield Town have been rocked by the news of another serious injury within their first team squad. Physio Paul Lake, confirmed that Jimmy McNulty broke his leg in Tuesday's training session.

He is now facing a long layoff although the break will not require surgery. It is not deemed as serious as the other leg break victims Jonny Brain and Andrew Teague, but he will still be out of action until well into the New Year. Simon Wiles also sustained Cruciate Ligament damage on Saturday meaning new manager Paul Ince has an injury crisis to deal with in the closed transfer season.

McNulty will be known to Walsall fans as the player who scored Macclesfield's winner in the FA Cup First Round tie. In doing so he became the first League Two player to score at Bescot Stadium this season, and the first Macclesfield player to score a winning goal in the 2006/7 campaign.
