Elding signed for Leeds on January 31, 2008, after an offer was accepted by Stockport County for an undisclosed amount. Elding travelled to the club's Thorp Arch training ground and completed the deal the same day. United are believed to have snatched the striker from the clutches of Hartlepool United, who had two bids for him rejected. The deal was confirmed just before the transfer deadline. He scored his first competitive goal for Leeds in the 2-1 defeat at home to Cheltenham Town. | |||
