Leeds get magic share, at a cost

Leeds United have received permission to play League One football this season. Thier Football League share has been granted but they have also been given a 15-point deduction.

The club have appealed against the deduction imposed by the Football League and their case will now be discussed at a special meeting of all league clubs.

The 15-point deduction takes into account the exceptional circumstances that has allowed them to regain their share. While they did go into administration, no CVA could be agreed. This is why the club must have a more severe punishment.

The club can now begin transfer activity.  Manager, Dennis Wise has been told he will have money to spend and it is heavily rumoured that a League Two midfielder will be signing for them next week.
