League two rivals set to sign Villa youngster

Aston Villa's Paul Green will become a Lincoln City player once the Football League confirms that the necessary paperwork has been completed.

Green, 19, has penned a contract with the Imps that will see him stay at Sincil Bank until the summer of 2009.

He played in the FA 2004 Youth Cup Final for Villa against Middlesbrough and has represented England at U18 level, while being a regular for Villa's reserves.

Green is Lincoln's first pemanent signing during the transfer window.
