League Two Player of the Month

Jamie Forrester has been named as the League 2 Powerade 'Player of the Month' for October following his goalscoring exploits during the month.

Forrester scored eight goals in four League 2 games during October. The 32-year-old ex-Saddler scored his second and third hat-tricks of the season in the month - one in the 5-0 win at Barnet and the other in the 7-1 demolition of Rochdale.

He beat off the challenge from Dean Keates, Lee Peacock of Swindon Town and Bury striker Glynn Hurst to the award, and it means Lincoln have taken the player and manager of the month double for October.

The Powerade Awards panel is headed by Sky Sports pundit and Coca-Cola Ambassador Chris Kamara, with input by Paul Hetherington, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association and Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation.
