Hartlepool set for second signing

Last updated : 11 January 2007 By Andy Van Hagen

Hartlepool are set to make Andy Monkhouse their second signing of the January transfer window.

The winger has enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at Victoria Park during which he tasted victory in all eight of the games he played. He has also scored three times.

His loan deal ended on New Year's Day but now Pools have agreed a deal which will see the 26-year-old move to The Vic on a permanent basis.

Monkhouse left Rotherham to sign for Swindon in the summer. He featured regularly for The Robins until Dennis Wise left and was replaced by Paul Storrock.
