Hartlepool have this morning received news that the Football League have lifted the club's transfer embargo.

Football League rules state that player salaries must not exceed 60% of any League Two club's turnover. Hartlepool were relegated from League One back in May and believed they had a period of grace to comply. This however was not the case and the Football League issued the club with a transfer embargo

With the embargo now lifted Hartlepool wasted no time is trying to recruit players. They made a late, but unsuccessful bid to snatch Julian Joachim from under the noses of Darlington. After the sale of Adam Boyd to Luton the club have the cash to splash.
