In a interview with the Grimsby official site the 40 year old player said "I have spent the summer agonising over a few things. I have had quite a lot of offers, which in some senses surprised me, in others it didn't. I am at Grimsby because of the way that they are going to play football. They are going to play it through midfield, get the ball down, get it out wide and it is a lovely big pitch here at Grimsby"
