A spokesman for the club told their official site www.nottinghamforest.co.uk: "We can confirm that Grant Holt tabled a written transfer request which has been rejected."
The 26 year old striker joined Forest from Rochdale in a £300,000 deal in January 2006.
He was the Club's top scorer in his first full season at The City Ground with 18 league and cup goals.
