Macclesfield Town endured a nightmare minute which saw them conceed an equaliser and see two players break their legs in the 1-1 draw with Stockport County.

With 15 minutes to go Stockport thread a ball though the middle aiming for Adam Proudlock. Both Macclesfield goalkeeper Jonathan Brain and defender Andrew Teale slid in hoping the clear the ball, but sadly both players slid into each other. With both on the floor in pain, Adam Proudlock struck the ball into the empty net depriving the Silkmen of their first League win of the season and two successive victories.

To make things worse for Macclesfield, Simon Wiles also sustained Cruciate Ligament damage in the first half. The transfer and loan windows do not re-open until January so Paul Ince will have to find replacements from within the club.
