Cheltenham Town have called a 10 am press conference on Monday, where they are widely expected to name Martin Allen as their new manager.

Cheltenham, who are bottom of League One parted company with Keith Downing on Saturday, after Friday's defeat by Hartlepool.

Allen left Leicester City in August 2007 after only three months in charge and has been on 'gardening leave' since.

Walsall will travel to Cheltenham in early October for their JPT 2nd round tie.
