Cheltenham lose another centre back to injury

Cheltenham Town's Michael Wylde has suffered a broken jaw after a clash of heads with his team mate Shane Duff during their friendly against Hereford.

Both players went for the same ball and both were taken to hospital. While Duff was discharged after suffering mild concussion, Wylde now needs surgery after suffering a double displaced fracture of the lower jaw. This will keep him out for at least 10 weeks. Ex-Saddler Gavin Caines is also out for 6 weeks so a new defender will be at the top of manager John Wards to-do list this week before the season opener on Saturday.
