Cheltenham increase bid for Fleetwood

Cheltenham Town have increased their offer for Forest Green Rovers striker Stuart Fleetwood.

Their previous bid of £100,000 was turned down back in Novenmber 2006 but this bid is believed to be around the £150,000. Their Chairman Paul Baker has revealed he refuses to get involved in a bidding war for the striker and the bid has a life span of a week before it will be retracted if not accepted.

Sunday's newspapers are saying Charlton of the Championship are monitoring the situation closely and are deceiding whether to bid during the transfer window.

With Fleetwood currently playing for Forest Green Rovers a move to Cheltenham may attract him so he would not have to move from his Gloucestershire home.
