Boston forced to sell striker to League Two rivals

Last updated : 03 January 2007 By Andy Van Hagen
Boston United have sold striker Anthony Elding to Stockport County for a five-figure fee. Elding has agreed a deal running until June 2009 at Edgeley Park after only joining Boston from Stevenage in the summer.

Stockport beat off competition from two other clubs to secure the 24-year-old signiture but deal meanns Boston's players and staff will be paid their December wages this week. It is rumoured that at least two more players will be expected to be sold during the transfer-window, to secure Boston's short-term future.
