Accrington Stanley have been rocked by a another injury blow. Leighton McGivern set to miss up to four months with a broken ankle.

The 22-year-old striker is to undergo surgery this week after sustaining the injury in Saturday's 3-3 draw at Macclesfield Town. He joined Stanley last month in a deal lasting until the end of the season.

McGivern was brought in after Stanley sold/loaned Gary Roberts to Ipswich Town. Since Roberts departure Stanley have won 2 points out of a possible 24 and have dropped from mid-table to only two points off the relegation positions.
