Accrington Stanley upset over fixture decision

Burnley and Accrington Stanley have seen their fixtures 'paired up' by the football league. Both club's Chairman have spoke of their dissapointment saying that Stanley should have been paired up with Blackburn Rovers instead.

The Clarets Chairman spoke of his belief that scenario would provide maximum opportunity for bigger crowds at the Fraser Eagle Stadium (Accringtons ground), with Burnley fans opting to support Stanley when their side are away.

Accrington Stanley have revealled this decision will cost the club over £100,000 during the course of the season. Added that Blackburn Rovers have Uefa Cup games next seaon it would have given the fans of both Blackburn and Burnley to support Accrington Stanleys first League adventure since 1962.
