Abbott rejects MK Dons

Last updated : 05 July 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
Pawel Abbott has chosen to stay and fight for his place at Huddlesfield Town rather than make the switch to Milton Keynes Dons.

The 24 year old Polish striker travelled to The National Hockey Stadium for talks with new Dons boss Martin Allen. The deal was a possible swap deal involving MK defender Dean Lewington.

Huddersfield Town this week signed striker Luke Beckett to join a strikeforce already including Andy Booth.

Abbott is rated as one of the best strikers in League One and he may now be available for transfer. In 82 starts and 24 substitute appearances he has scored 46 goals for Huddersfield Town.
