Nottingham Forest today paraded new signing Julian Bennett. If you wondered what he looks like in a Forest shirt take a look on our home page.

In a interview Bennett says "I'm not bitter about being released by Forest (He was released s a 14 year old, he then joined Walsall). Why should I be? I'm a Forest player now and that's all that matters.

"It's amazing how things have worked out. I'm back with my home-town club and it feels fantastic.

It's a dream come true for me to have the opportunity to join my local club and such a big club as well. There were other teams showing an interest in me, teams from the Championship".

Bennett was the subject of late interest from Watford. The Daily Mail actually reported that Bennett was signing for Watford today - tut tut!!

Megson meanwhile has said "I'm really pleased to have signed Julian. He's a player that we have tracked for some time - in fact, it first started when I was manager at West Brom and he got in the side as a young kid at Walsall".

Bennett will be wearing the number 29 shirt for Forest. his home town club. Julian is still young and i am sure that he will flourish playing for his boyhood heroes. He will probably be able to play in the Championship with Forest so the turning down of Watford will then become less of a issue.

The Nottingham Forest website currently has in-depth interviews with Julian as he speaks about his delight of joining them.
